Grady's is truly a rare treat for any outdoorsman/woman! They have anything you could want to enhance the great outdoors, but the real treat is their people. I've never gone to Grady's and not been treated like a FRIEND (been shopping there for 20 years)! I have family in Athens, Ga that drives here to Anderson just for Grady's (bought two mountain bikes last time here)! Great place, better people!!
To begin this review, understand that I only shop here in the gun/ammunition department. The staff here has always been available and willing to help, but are not terribly informed on their products. I am very familiar with the firearms market and have taught the employees things about some of the firearms in stock. I have also encountered gun department employees that approach their customers with a condescending tone and demeanor. The biggest complaint that I have with this department is the pricing. The price on firearms and ammo is no where close to online competitors. I understand that they cant be the same price due to overhead and other costs associated with a storefront, but they are not even close unless they have a fire-sale which they do maybe twice per year (where quantities are severely limited). I have seen improvements in staffing in the recent future with Brian. He is a great addition to the team, but I would shop here much more frequently if pricing was more competitive.
The bottom line is that I like Grady’s for the personalized service and the quality products.
So I had an issue with an item and it was past the 30 day window on the receipt. I was expecting a run around. The cashier was nice and called a manager. He came up and listened to my issue and was very helpful. I ended up returning the item and getting a similar one. It has worked perfectly. Customer service is very good. I will be back!
I am in Grady’s at least once a week. I am always greeted when entering the store and I’ve always been approached by at least one of the employees asking if I they can be of assistance while I am walking around. It is that level of customer engagement that keeps me coming back.
I have shopped at Grady’s for years and the customer service is great! The employees are courteous, attentive, and most importantly - very knowledgeable. The gun department has advised me on the purchase of three guns for my son; a beginner shotgun/rifle combo, Browning shotgun, and Browning rifle. They have a great selection of shoes, clothes, and sunglasses. Their pricing is very competitive too.
The staff is knowledgeable about there products. Other reviewers have lamented about gaps in this knowledge. I’ll take what these folks tell me over what the part time polo shirt wearing High Schoolers at that big box sporting goods store every time.
The prices are what I would expect for quality goods. I get to take it all home with me that day vs waiting for an online order. Not to mention, I’m not paying for shipping!
