I went went to this school from the time I was four years old till I was twelve years old. I recommend the infant toddle, primary, and lower elementary classes there, but not so much the upper elementary, middle school, and high school. The environment in the class rooms are more peaceful and quiet, but do not give children the experience they need to tackle the real world. Montessori also taught classes of two or three grades, teaching three grades the same thing defeats the whole purpose of having three different grades, they also would not let an accelerated child move on to more challenging classes. I left Montessori and went to McCants middle school, i made it into mostly gifted and talented classes.
I have taught in both public and in private schools in the North and in the South, in both progressive and traditional settings, and so I consider myself to be a good judge of schools. My own daughter attends Montessori School, and I am thoroughly impressed on all levels. I always thought I would have to start my own private school in order to provide an ideal education for my own children, but there is nothing that I could do better than Montessori School of Anderson. That is saying a very great deal about every aspect of this school. Every program is well thought out and well done from beginning to end. I just cannot say enough good things about this school, and I am someone who is quick to criticize schools. At this school you will find that they have a wonderful concern with every aspect of education. First Class ! in every way. A+ to the teachers and staff.
