It's a small town mall with 3 anchor stores; lots of small, seemingly independent shops that are well-tailored for the local community; and several mid-sized retailers commonly found in malls.

For a small shopping mall, this one has several special touches that, to me, make a difference. There are no obnoxious, in-your-face, hawkers of questionable goods lined down the aisles. There are several seating areas including sofas in a separated seating area outside the women's restroom in the anchor stores as well as to the side of the food court...perfect areas for mothers to be able to nurse or just settle their children in a quiet corner. The selection of smaller retail businesses are well-suited for the community. The mall is kept clean and security is present but in a positive way.

The facility is clean and well-managed with adequate security; well-lit and ample parking; and clean restrooms with a sitting room. The food court has variety and is well-tended.

The front entrance of the mall is great. Books A Million and Murasaki are upfront and everything is great. But sometimes in the evenings it gets rowdy. It just really isn't a family environment in the evenings. But I do like the selection of stores. It's. a pretty decent mall for a small town.

The Anderson Mall has really declined. They are so cheap, that they do not keep the air conditioning cool enough in the main areas of the mall. The food court was so hot today, that it was almost unbearable. There are still a few good stores but the food court has very little options. Chick-fil-A and Anderson Express are the only decent choices. Hopefully... maybe the mall will turn around some point and get better. The Anderson Mall had a much better atmosphere and gave a nicer experience when I was a child.

The mall has recently installed floor markers and signs for the benefit of the mall-walkers; now one is able to count one's 'mileage.'

There are well-selected activities for children, too. My favorite are what look like large, motorized, stuffed animals that children can 'drive' around the mall.

We had a very good shopping experience today, the day after Thanksgiving. It hadn't gotten too busy yet when we went to the mall and the sales associates in the mall stores were extremely helpful and cordial. I hadn't done Black Friday shopping in many years and so today was great. I had an idea of some Christmas gifts I wanted. I found everything I was looking for. That is a rare day so we were very pleased.

A nice touch in this mall, that I have not seen in other malls, is the allowance for local people to sell locally produced baked goods, nuts, and candy. Nor does this mall have any annoying center-aisle vendors asking, "Can I ask you a question. Ma'am?" (I had run out of clever or polite ways of saying, "No.") This mall has none of that!
